Restela Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 June 2026

Restela runs this Site and provides the products and services available through it (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy walks you through what personal information we hold about you, what we do with it, who else sees it, and the rights you have over it.

Please take the time to read this policy. By browsing restela.co or placing an order with us, you accept that your personal information will be handled as set out below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Our Site is hosted by Shopify Inc., the e-commerce platform we use to sell our products. Where this policy and our Terms of Service appear to say different things about personal information, this Privacy Policy controls.

What Information We Collect

In this policy, "personal information" means anything that identifies you, or that can reasonably be linked back to you. It does not cover information that is genuinely anonymous or that we have de-identified so it can no longer be tied to you.

Categories of information we hold. Depending on how you interact with us, where you live, and what local law allows, we may gather or process the following kinds of personal information, including any inferences we draw from them:

  • Contact details. Your name, your billing and shipping addresses, your phone number, and the email address you use to reach us.
  • Payment information. Card numbers, financial account details, transaction records, the payment method you choose, payment confirmations, and anything else needed to take and process a payment.
  • Account information. Username, password, security questions, account preferences, and the settings you have selected.
  • Order information. Products you browse, add to your cart, save to a wishlist, buy, return, exchange, or cancel, and the history of your transactions with us.
  • Messages. Anything you tell us in messages, for example when you write to our customer support team.
  • Device and connection information. Your browser, operating system, IP address, time zone, device identifiers, and how your device connects to our Site.
  • Usage information. How you move around the Site, which pages you open, how long you stay on each, what you click, and how you navigate between sections.

Where this information comes from. Personal information about you reaches us through a few routes:

  • Directly from you, when you create an account, place an order, send us a message, or otherwise share your details.
  • Automatically from your use of the Site, including data your device sends to us when you visit, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below).
  • From our service providers, when they collect or process information on our behalf as part of the service they provide.
  • From our partners or other third parties, for example advertising platforms or fraud-prevention providers.

How We Use Your Information

Depending on how you interact with us and which of our Services you use, we may put your personal information to the following uses:

Running our Services. We use your information to deliver the Services. That covers performing our contract with you, processing your payment, fulfilling your order, sending the account notifications that come with using our Site, handling returns and exchanges, remembering your preferences, suggesting products that may interest you, and keeping our shop running day to day.

Marketing and advertising. We use your information to send you marketing communications by email, SMS, or post, and to show you online advertising on the Site or other websites, including ads tailored to what you have looked at, added to your cart, or bought from us before. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the link in any email you receive from us.

Security and fraud prevention. We use your information to verify your identity, secure your payment, look out for and act on suspected fraud or other harmful activity, and protect our Site, our customers, and our business.

Talking with you. We use your information to respond to messages you send us, give you customer support, and maintain a working relationship with you as our customer.

Legal reasons. We use your information to comply with laws that apply to us, respond to lawful requests from law enforcement or government bodies, take part in legal proceedings, and to enforce or investigate breaches of our Terms of Service or other policies.

Who We Share It With

We share your personal information with carefully chosen third parties for the purposes set out in this policy. The main categories are below.

Shopify, our hosting platform. Our Site is hosted by Shopify, which gathers and processes personal information about how you reach and use the Site so that we can run it and improve it for you. Some of that information will be sent to Shopify, and to other parties Shopify uses, which may be located in countries other than the one where you live, in order to keep the Site running. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on data from our Site, other Shopify merchants, and Shopify itself. For some of those features, Shopify is the party responsible for how your information is processed, including for responding to your rights requests. You can read more about how Shopify uses your information in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Service providers we use. We rely on the following providers to deliver our Services. Each one processes personal information about you only for the purpose we have asked them to, and under contract terms that protect your information:

  • Subscription billing. Shopify Subscriptions and Loop Subscriptions, to handle recurring orders and renewals.
  • Email communications. Klaviyo and Omnisend, for transactional and marketing email.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 (GA4), to understand how the Site is performing and being used.
  • Advertising platforms. Meta, TikTok, Google, and Snapchat, used through pixels and tracking tags to show you relevant ads and measure how those ads perform.

We may add or change service providers as our business evolves. The categories of personal information shared with any provider, and the purposes for sharing, will remain consistent with this policy.

Advertising partners. As described above, we work with advertising partners to show you ads we think may be relevant. Some information is shared with them directly, and some through cookies and similar technologies. Depending on where you live, sharing this information may require your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through the cookie banner on our Site, or through the privacy controls each platform offers.

Legal and protective purposes. We may share information where the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect our rights and the rights of our customers, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.

Third-party links. Our Site may include links to other websites or services operated by people who are not us. We do not control those third parties and we are not responsible for their privacy practices or what they choose to make available. Before you share anything with a third-party site, please take a look at its own privacy policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you visit our Site we use cookies and similar tracking technologies (for example, web beacons, pixels, and SDKs) to make the Site work, to understand how it is used, and to deliver and measure advertising.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Some of the cookies we use are essential, which means the Site cannot work properly without them (for example, the cookies that remember what is in your basket or keep you signed in). Others help us analyse how the Site is used or deliver advertising based on your activity.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before we set non-essential cookies on your device. You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie banner on the Site, or by adjusting your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect parts of the Site that rely on them.

Because there is no agreed industry standard for how to interpret "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to those signals.

Children's Data

Our Site is not designed for or directed at children, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone who is below the age of majority in the place where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please get in touch using the contact details at the end of this policy so that we can delete it.

Keeping Your Data Safe

Security. No security system is perfect, and we cannot promise "perfect security". Information you send to us over the internet may not be secure while it is in transit, so we recommend that you avoid sharing anything sensitive or confidential over an unsecured channel.

How long we hold your information. How long we keep personal information about you depends on a number of factors, including whether we still need it to deliver the Services, maintain your account, comply with our legal obligations, settle a dispute, or enforce an agreement. Once we no longer need it for any of those purposes, we delete or anonymise it.

International transfers. We may transfer, store, or process your personal information outside the country where you live. Where we move personal information out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or any equivalent contract issued by the relevant UK authority, unless the destination has been formally recognised as offering an adequate level of protection.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, some or all of the rights below may apply to the personal information we hold about you. These rights are not absolute, may only apply in certain situations, and in some cases we may decline a request where the law permits us to.

  • Access. You may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion. You may have the right to ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. You may have the right to ask us to correct personal information about you that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Portability. In certain circumstances, you may have the right to receive your personal information in a portable format and ask us to transfer it to another service.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or to opt out of processing that counts as "targeted advertising" under local law. You can use the cookie controls on our Site to manage these preferences for the device and browser you are using.
  • Marketing preferences. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email you receive from us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages about your account or your orders.

If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, and subject to the limits and exceptions in your local law, you may also have the following rights:

  • Objection or restriction. You may have the right to object to, or to restrict, the way we process your personal information in certain situations.
  • Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent as the basis for processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Doing so will not undo any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

You can use any of these rights by contacting us at the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, as the law allows or requires. You can also choose an authorised agent to act for you, in which case we will need proof you have authorised them, and we may still need to verify your identity directly.

We aim to respond to any request within the time the law sets, and we will not discriminate against you for using any of the rights described above.

Complaints. If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please come to us first. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection regulator.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, to keep up with operational, legal, or regulatory developments, or for any other reason. When we make a change, we will post the updated policy on the Site and refresh the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Where the law calls for it, we will give notice in another form too.
